Essential Functions and Responsibilities of a Production Supervisor
- Direct and supervise production operations in order to meet or exceed Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory goals for the department and shift assigned.
- Coordinate production activities through planning with Superintendents and/or Plant Managers to ensure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Follow Leader Standard Work and Daily Schedule.
- Support customer requests and work to identify and eliminate root causes to defective product.
- Ensure operators are trained and certified to perform tasks and objectives.
- Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
- Lead with integrity and in a way that earns respect and trust from operators.
- Ensure that operators are engaged, developing skills, and taking ownership of their responsibilities.
- Ensure the department is organized and clean.
- Implement and maintain Lean Manufacturing methods and tools.
Qualifications and Skills of a Production Supervisor
- Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
- Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field is required; or combination of education and 1-3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with implementing Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred.
- Must be a well-organized individual that can manage multiple tasks and problem solve.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with both the direct and indirect workforce.
- Computer/MS Office skills.
- Should have working experience with the company planning and scheduling system.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

This is a full-time position on 2nd shift, Weekend – Friday, Saturday & Sunday 6am -6pm
