What You'll Do
- Responsible for the Supervision of newly hired production personnel and weapons training technicians
- Schedules, coordinates, and tracks general employee training, block training, and weapons specific training
- Engages and enables new hire production workforce to promote safety awareness, company activities, team achievements, production highlights, etc. on a routine and consistent basis
- Leads required safety meetings, briefings, and trainings for new hire production workforce and offers suggestions on improvements to the work environment
- Collaborates with project teams, customers, and support organization to achieve new hire production workforce performance objectives
- Responsible for Human Reliability Program (HRP) management observation, HRP endorsement and submittal of HRP packets and questionnaires
- Ensures required resources are provided to new hire production workforce
- Manages team of bargaining unit personnel; accountable for work execution within approved scope
- Supports and makes recommendations for improvements in program procedures, technology utilization, and automation
- Ensures accuracy of timekeeping records in accordance with established policies and contracts
- Maintains qualifications to supervise assigned work area(s) and ensures qualifications of subordinates
- Maintains professional working relationship with representatives of the Engineering organization, Environment, Safety, and Health (ES&H), Enterprise Planning and Controls (EP&C), Security, and Program Integration through cooperation in fulfilling the site’s assigned mission; informs management of issues or potential concerns.
- Confers with personnel (e.g., management, engineering, quality control, customer, or union workers’ representatives) to coordinate work activities, resolve employee grievances, or identify and review resource needs
- Ensures that a feedback loop is maintained up, down, and across organizations to communicate answers to issues, concerns and lessons learned
- Collaborates with upper management to recommend or initiate personnel actions (e.g., hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, and/or disciplinary measures)
- Enforces operational and site procedures
- Provides input and/or prepares reports on new hire production workforce operations
- Track personnel to ensure staffing is adequate for Production needs
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- OR Applicants without a bachelor's degree may be considered based on a combination of at least 13 years of completed education and/or relevant experience.
DOE Order 426.2A Requirements
- In addition to the above requirements, the applicant must also meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2A (i.e., High School diploma and 3 years nuclear experience, or a DOE O 426.2A alternative). DOE 426.2A experience requirements can be satisfied following employment. In the interim, newly hired personnel will not be assigned duties that could impact the safety basis of nuclear facilities. Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.
Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required, candidate must complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph, pursuant to 10 CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
