Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions
M&TE Logistics, Customer Support & Tracking
- Workflow & Logistics: Coordinates receiving, releasing, shipping, and processing of calibration standards and M&TE assets. Expedites offsite shipping and receiving of calibration items.
- Customer Interface & Recalls: Serves as the primary point of contact for customer and supervisor inquiries regarding calibration schedules and metrology issues. Actively tracks and updates customers regarding recall notifications and overdue assets.
- Asset & Data Management: Tracks Calibration Failure Notifications (CFNs) and manages software databases by adding new item identifiers to systems (e.g., MOX).
- Procurement Execution: Obtains purchase charge codes, requests vendor quotes, submits purchase requisitions, and tracks purchasing progress.
- Vendor Operations & Documentation: Creates and manages Statements of Work (SOWs) for all offsite and onsite vendor calibrations, maintenance, and repairs. Facilitates adding new vendor information into PeopleSoft and the Qualified Suppliers List (QASL).
- Onsite Compliance & Access Control: Coordinates Process Workflow Management (PWM) access for guests and onsite vendors. Ensures Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) compliance/approvals for all electronic devices used on-site. Technical Compliance, Quality & Software Oversight
- Quality & Document Control: Verifies crosschecks prior to shipping assets. Submits control plans and handles technical documentation including Technical Review Request (TRRs), Cybersecurity Impact Analysis (CSIAs), Topics, and Software Manager (SMANs).
- Software Ownership: Acts as designated Software Owner for assigned departmental software applications, maintaining compliance and operational readiness.
- Audits & Quality Assurance: Participates in measurement audit packages and blind audits with the Acquisition Level (AL) Primary Standards Laboratory, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and other contractor laboratories to verify staff competence. Applies statistical quality control concepts (e.g., control charts) and adheres to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Engineering Data Support: Assists in establishing new metrology procedures and prepares technical reports using schematics, specifications, and procedures to provide data for measurement system studies.
- Estimates & Proposals: Develops and reviews project proposals, cost estimates, work schedules, and equipment improvement plans. Safety, Security & Programmatic Compliance
- Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS) & Integrated Safeguards and Security Management (ISSM) Integration: Drives a safe work environment by embedding ISMS and ISSM principles into all daily tasks.
- Risk Mitigation & Security: Identifies facility, safety, and mission risks and implements mitigation strategies. Adheres strictly to security and plant protection regulations.
- Worker Involvement & Stop Work Authority: Participates in hazard identification and work planning. Fully exercises and respects the worker’s right to stop work if personal or team safety is threatened. Attends all safety meetings and proposes environment improvements.
- Training & Rules Adherence: Maintains current knowledge of applicable Federal, State, DOE, Corporate, and Plant regulations, Labor Agreements, and operating policies. Successfully completes required training, including General Employee Training (DOE Order 426.2B).
- Bachelor's degree: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
- Master's degree: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

- Software ownership experience and proficiency in Excel, Crystal Reports, and PowerPoint for performance tracking.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multi-tasking skills under general supervision with high attention to detail.
