What You'll Do
- Research, develop, revise, and present Classroom training for the plant’s electrical programs and systems as well as On-the-Job training (OJT) training in technical and non-technical disciplines. Plans and organizes the development of plant-wide training materials in new and anticipated subject areas using the systematic approach to training (SAT).
- The employee’s primary duty is planning, organizing and instructing training material for classroom and on-the-job training, including: Medium and Low Voltage Distribution Systems, Circuit Breaker testing, Medium and High Voltage test instruments, Bucket Truck and Pole Cat Lift Truck, Ariel/Boom Lifts; and other training in technical and non-technical disciplines as assigned utilizing the systematic approach to training (SAT).
- Must be able to exercise discretion and independent judgment. Examples include exercise authority to formulate, affect, interpret, or implement key training programs; instruct management policies or operating practices; carrying out major assignments related to the operation of the Company’s business; work that affects business operations of the Company to a degree; and having the authority to make key training decisions.

- Bachelor's degree: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.

- OR Applicants without a bachelor's degree may be considered based on a combination of at least 13 years of completed education and/or relevant experience.
- In addition, the applicant must meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2A (.e., High School Diploma and experience consistent with material being presented and demonstrated knowledge of instructional techniques). DOE 426.2A experience requirements can be satisfied following employment. In the interim, newly hired personnel will not be assigned duties that could impact the safety basis of nuclear facilities. - Bachelor’s degree in an electrical, mechanical or related technical field: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- A combination of education and at least 5 years relevant experience as a Licensed Journeyman Electrician wherein the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the position’s duties and accountabilities are demonstrated is acceptable.
- Knowledge of adult education and training principles and techniques including design, development, implementation, testing and control of advanced level performance systems as related to fundamental technical subjects.
- Experience in the use and development of professional instructing techniques and materials is essential.
- Instructional experience in both commercial and academic environments and expertise in electrical programs and systems is preferred.
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the use of computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated experience in oral and written communications.
