Renaissance Public School Academy is currently hiring a Long Term High School Math Substitute.

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Long Term High School Math Substitute Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong command of the, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment. This role requires flexibility, creativity, and a commitment to fostering a love for reading and writing among students.

Key Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

• Implement lesson plans and manage classroom activities in accordance with the school’s curriculum and policies
• Monitor student performance through various methods, including tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to support school-wide initiatives and events
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required
• Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students
• Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff
• Regular and predictable attendance
  
  

Cognitive Demands

• Supervision of multiple students at once
• Establishing routines and procedures
• Maintaining a safe and orderly environment
• Create and implement instructional plans

Physical Demands

• Occasionally lift/move objects weighing up to 25lbs
• Stand and walk frequently
• Occasionally sit on the floor or bend down/squat
• Withstand all demands presented by outside weather conditions at any time of the year
• Withstand a moderate noise level
• Be able to perform first aid/CPR if necessary
• Assist/lift students, as necessary
  
  

Qualifications

• 60 college is required. Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field preferred;
• Valid teaching certification, or eligibility to obtain a permit.
• Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience in Math is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple responsibilities and commitments.
