Placement Specialist Job Purpose & Position Overview:
The Placement Specialist will proactively input data provided on insurance applications into carrier websites to obtain quotes. They will be the intermediary of all communication between the carriers and agents pertaining to submission until the account is closed or bound.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize strong interpersonal & communication skills to maintain and enhance relationships with existing clients, agents, company representatives, and co-workers
- Obtain Acord application, conduct research, analyze facts, prepare necessary documents, and ensure accurate submission of applications to carriers
- Promptly send quotes to Agent/Marketing Associate for review
- Track, save and reply to emails from Agents/Marketing Associates and Underwriters
- Bind coverage upon approval of insured
- Accurately save documents and update company system
- Represent the company with a positive, ethical, timely and professional attitude over the phone, in writing, and in person at all times
- Multi-task in an ever-changing environment, while balancing collaboration with autonomy
- Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned, at any time with or without notice
Qualifications:
- High school diploma (or equivalent) required
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and agency management system experience (Applied EPIC, preferred)
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing to perform computer-based tasks.
- Occasionally lifting or carrying items up to 10 pounds.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Applicable state required Property & Casualty License within one year of hire.
