Weekly Hours: Monday, Wednesday & Fridays / 6 to 9 hour per week
Job Time: 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Job environment: Commercial bldg. cleaning.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using commercial cleaning equipment such as buffers and floor scrubbers
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness by dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal throughout the facility
- Conduct routine custodial tasks including window washing, surface disinfecting, and restroom sanitation to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or minor repairs to support overall facilities upkeep
- Follow safety protocols during cleaning procedures and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly
- Document completed tasks and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Support special cleaning projects like carpet cleaning or industrial cleaning as needed
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred
- Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and vacuums is advantageous
- Knowledge of proper use of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures in a custodial environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure thorough cleanliness throughout the facility
