Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle different types of vehicles including refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, tankers, and flatbeds.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Execute route driving to deliver products to designated locations on time.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery records.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure safety and functionality.
- Handle loading and unloading of cargo using forklifts or other equipment as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Ensure proper handling of refrigerated trailers to maintain product integrity during transit.
- Driver unload/ assist.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Experience in route driving, delivery driving, or operating specialized vehicles such as dump trucks or tankers is a plus.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to transportation and handling of goods.
