Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Walkers and Pet-Sitters to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the ability to provide exceptional care and attention to dogs and pets during their walks or stays. This role is perfect for individuals with experience in animal handling, pet care, or interested in building more connections with pets and gaining a better understanding of the various pet personalities. Responsibilities

• Walk dogs of various sizes and breeds, ensuring their safety and well-being during outings.
• Provide basic training commands while walking to reinforce good behavior.
• Monitor the health and behavior of each dog, reporting any concerns to the owner.
• Maintain a clean environment by picking up after dogs during walks.
• Build strong relationships with both pets and their owners through excellent customer service.
• Assist with pet sitting duties as needed, including feeding, grooming, and providing companionship.
• Handle any special needs or requirements for individual dogs, including those requiring medication or special care.

Requirements

• Previous experience in dog handling, pet care, or veterinary settings is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal behavior is a plus.
• Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Strong animal handling skills with an understanding of animal restraint when necessary.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when managing larger breeds or equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 45 per week
