Dental Assistant – Pediatric Practice | Niceville, FL
$18.00 – $24.00 per hour | Full-Time | No Weekends
Position Overview
Panhandle Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Dental Assistant to support clinical operations in a fast-paced pediatric environment.
This is not a passive role. The Dental Assistant is a critical part of patient flow, clinical accuracy, and the overall patient experience.

Schedule
Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
No weekends
Sedation days occur 1–2 times per month and require early arrival (approximately 5:30–6:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside using four-handed dentistry
- Prepare and break down operatories
- Take and process dental radiographs in accordance with Florida regulations
- Maintain infection control and sterilization standards (OSHA/CDC compliance)
- Support pediatric patients and families throughout treatment
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Assist with inventory, lab cases, and overall clinical organization
- Support efficient patient flow and communicate delays as needed
Qualifications
- Prior dental assisting experience required
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Radiology certification preferred (training available if needed)
- EFDA certification preferred (support provided after training period)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Reliable, professional, and accountable
