The Opportunity
As a Senior Investment Accountant, you’ll be responsible for managing the accounting and finance for a portfolio of properties. This is a high-visibility role where you will collaborate with internal teams, provide accurate financial reporting, and ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP standards. It’s also an excellent launching point for career progression within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all property-level accounting functions, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties.
- Manage budgeting and forecasting processes for your property group.
- Partner with operations and asset management teams to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and GAAP.
- Assist with audit requests and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2 years of public or corporate accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and property-level financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills; Yardi or MRI experience a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
