Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and other necessary tools safely and efficiently
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures rigorously to maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza varieties or toppings based on customer preferences and current trends
- Manage food production during high-volume periods while adhering to recipe adherence and portion control guidelines
- Maintain proper food handling techniques to ensure freshness and prevent cross-contamination
- Support the team in meal preparation for catering events or special occasions as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially with pizza or similar cuisine preferred
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques such as braising, poaching, grilling, and food handling
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures within a commercial kitchen setting
- Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively in high-volume production environments
- Familiarity with dietary department standards or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining flexibility during busy service times
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
