Job Duties:
- Manage, train, and mentor a team of fabricators, ensuring compliance with safety standards and production goals.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Assign tasks based on skill sets and project requirements, balancing workload among team members.
- Coordinate with project managers and other departments to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust staffing or resources to prevent delays.
- Oversee the setup and operation of fabricating machines
- Ensure all products meet dimensional and quality requirements as per blueprints and schematics.
- Review and approve final inspections before delivery.
- Identify and resolve fabrication issues, minimizing downtime and waste.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment maintenance, and team performance.
- Report key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity and material usage.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Three plus years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial fabrication setting required
- Advanced knowledge of fabrication processes, tools, and machinery required
- Strong understanding of quality assurance procedures (QAPs) required
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills required
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and schematics required
- High levels of organizational and time management skills required
- High levels of analytical, observational, and active listening skills required
- High levels of reliability required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required
- Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background checks required
- Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required
- Ability to stoop and bend required
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four plus hours at a time required
- Ability to read a tape measure and prints required
- Ability to convert decimals to fractions and utilize conversion charts required
- Excellent manual dexterity required
- Excellent color vision and eyesight required
