Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, glass surfaces, and fixtures to ensure a bright and inviting environment
- Conduct routine trash removal, recycling collection, and waste disposal to uphold sanitation standards
- Execute floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to preserve surface quality
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks including deep cleans of machinery or large spaces when needed
- Support facilities maintenance activities by reporting repairs or hazards promptly
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning operations to ensure a safe workplace for yourself and others
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial or residential cleaning environments with a focus on janitorial duties
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning
- Familiarity with custodial equipment such as buffers, vacuums, mops, and pressure washers
- Ability to perform industrial cleaning tasks efficiently while adhering to safety standards
- Experience with facilities maintenance or porter responsibilities is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure all areas meet cleanliness standards
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and moving heavy supplies throughout shifts
