What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Assistant position at Pancoast Staffing Services, Inc.?
Downtown Pittsburgh law firm is in need of an experienced Legal Assistant to provide support for their Real Estate Group.
Duties to include:
· Provide general administrative support in the Real Estate Practice Group
· Assist the firm’s Title Agent / Director of Title Services with closings from time to time
· Manage and track applicable attorneys’ continuing legal education credits and status
· Assist with monthly billing/invoicing, case file management, document preparation and revision, and data entry
· Prepare and send letters and other correspondence on behalf of applicable attorneys
Requirements:
· 2 years prior experience working as a legal assistant at a law firm (any experience related to commercial real estate transactions is a big plus)
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
· Basic familiarity with accounts receivable and accounts payable
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently
· A professional, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative
· A college degree is preferred, but not necessary
