Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead the operations of Pancheros in Princeton, IL. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all restaurant operations, including food preparation, customer service, and staff management
- Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food safety protocols
- Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling and sales tracking
- Train, develop, and motivate team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards
- Handle shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to meet business needs
- Monitor restaurant performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement
- Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes to build a strong team
- Manage budgets, control costs, and optimize operational efficiency
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, hospitality, and leadership
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality management roles with supervising experience
- Strong knowledge of food industry standards including food safety, food production, and food handling
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling experience required
- Background in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments preferred; fine dining or banquet experience is a plus
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train & develop staff effectively
- Strong organizational skills with experience in inventory control and budgeting
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous experience in restaurant or kitchen management including shift management and culinary oversight is highly desirable
- A background in hotel or bar management as well as coffee or barista experience can be advantageous
