Retail Account Executive – Food & Grocery (Commission Only)

Overview

PancakeNow is looking for a motivated Retail Account Executive to help expand our presence in grocery stores, convenience stores, specialty retailers, and other retail locations.

This is a commission-only B2B sales position focused on developing new retail accounts, building relationships with buyers, and turning sales opportunities into purchase orders and long-term customers.

You’ll be responsible for identifying prospective retailers, reaching out to decision-makers, presenting PancakeNow products, following up with buyers, negotiating opportunities, and closing new accounts.

This role is a strong fit for a self-motivated salesperson who enjoys prospecting, relationship-building, and being directly rewarded for the business they generate.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new retail opportunities within grocery, convenience, specialty food, and other relevant retail channels
• Prospect through phone, email, networking, referrals, and in-person outreach
• Build relationships with store owners, managers, category buyers, distributors, and purchasing teams
• Present PancakeNow products and communicate the value of carrying the brand
• Provide samples, product information, pricing, and sales materials to prospective accounts
• Follow up consistently with prospects and manage opportunities through the sales process
• Negotiate and close new retail accounts and purchase orders
• Develop sales plans and territory strategies to consistently generate new business
• Maintain accurate records of prospects, conversations, follow-ups, and account activity
• Manage relationships with assigned accounts and identify opportunities for additional placements, reorders, and expansion
• Gather retailer and customer feedback and communicate market insights to the PancakeNow team
• Represent PancakeNow professionally with retailers, buyers, distributors, and industry contacts

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who:

• Is confident approaching businesses and starting sales conversations
• Has strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
• Is comfortable prospecting and following up consistently
• Is motivated by measurable goals and performance-based compensation
• Can independently manage a sales pipeline and prioritize opportunities
• Is organized, dependable, and capable of working with minimal supervision
• Is comfortable speaking with business owners, managers, buyers, and purchasing teams

Experience in B2B sales, food and beverage sales, CPG, grocery, retail sales, distribution, or wholesale is strongly preferred.

Existing relationships with grocery stores, convenience stores, specialty retailers, distributors, or retail buyers are a major plus.

A proven sales track record is valuable, but we are also open to highly motivated candidates with strong sales instincts who are ready to build a territory.

Compensation

This is a commission-only sales position with uncapped earning potential.

Compensation is based on the retail business generated by the salesperson. Successful representatives have the opportunity to build a portfolio of accounts and increase their earnings as PancakeNow expands.

Full commission structure, account attribution, repeat-order compensation, and payment terms will be discussed during the interview process.
