Responsibilities

What You'll Get To Do:

Process U.S. Customs related documents and reports correctly and accurately in accordance with CBP laws, regulations, and PLSA policy by performing the following duties.

  • Provide excellence in customer service.
  • Register and maintain daily entry log.
  • Examine invoices, shipping manifests, and other documents for conformity to tariff, customs regulations, and other government agencies.
  • Process of Customs Entry Border
  • Process of Customs Entry RLF
  • Process ISF
  • Hazmat entry process
  • Request any necessary checks for release of shipment
  • Coordinate Shipment delivery
  • Process billing for all open files, assembly of invoices, file all closed files
  • Interface with CBP and or other government entities to ensure proper and timely release of cargo
  • Process Daily Statement for presentation to CBP on 6th day from release date.
  • Customs Forms – process and present to CBP timely.
  • Continuous Bond process
  • Process and send Customer Reports
  • Keep updated on new CBP regulations, programs, and changes.
  • Assist with special projects
  • Assist with Shippers exports
  • Maintain Bonded Warehouse logbook

Qualifications

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals,
  • financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, clients, public groups

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Other Abilities

  • Working knowledge of the Automated Broker Interface System, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Microsoft Word.
  • Minimum one year of supervisory experience is required.
  • Experience managing financial activities such as P&L or I&E, and A R collections.
  • Bilingual skills-- depending on market.

The wage range of $17.25 - $17.50 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. *The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.
