The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong technical skills, and a commitment to excellence in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Essential Duties
Functional Operations
- Perform rounds, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems with moderate supervision
- Act as First Responder for operational issues in manufacturing areas
- Assess and correct utility outages
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment within the functional area
- Work all scheduled shift hours
- Maintain accurate equipment records, work orders, and CMMS documentation
- Draft, approve, and follow Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
- Maintain intermediate skills for electrical and mechanical systems as defined at Level 3
- Demonstrate moderate skill across multiple technical trades, with preference for HVAC journeyman or mechanic experience
- Train team members at the same or lower level
- Collaborate across teams to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues
- Work with vendors, contractors, and tenants to ensure compliance with PENA work rules
- Interface regularly with Engineering, Construction, and PECNA tenant teams
- Follow all safety and company policies, regulations, and 6S cleanliness standards
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry, regulatory, and customer requirements
- Demonstrate proficiency with measurement tools, Microsoft Office Suite, blueprint reading, and interpretation of technical documentation
- To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees’, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. Pre-employment respirator fit test will be required based on functional area.
Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
Education
- Required: High school diploma, GED or 2 years of prior experience in functional area
- Preferred: Related Trade school/vocational graduate; 2 years of trade school or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
- Intermediate knowledge and work experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and HVAC in an industrial manufacturing facility environment
- Effective oral and written communication skills and willingness to work on a team
- Flexibility and a strong self-initiative are critical
- Electrical Safety in the Workplace
- Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
- 6 years of related work experience.
- Experience in mechanical engineering or construction management
- Experience utilizing a scheduling software

- PIT License
- MEWP
- State Issued Driver’s License
- CPR Certification
