Job Summary
The Business Continuity Manager is responsible for facilitating the implementation of Panasonic Energy’s (PECNA) Business Continuity Management Program across the enterprise and coordinating exercises at our main manufacturing sites primarily in Sparks, NV, and De Soto, KS. The Manager will develop and implement an emergency preparation plan providing response, recovery, and tactical plans to resume business operations following a business interruption, cyber-risk exposure or disaster.
Additionally, the Manager will assist PECNA with all aspects of business continuity planning, which includes identifying business processes, business impacts, recovery objectives, critical dependencies, and key stakeholders while documenting recovery strategies and testing recovery plans across multiple locations.
Position can be based in either De Soto, KS or Sparks, NV

Essential Duties
- Develop, build, and maintain the Business Continuity Program, and implement policies and standards together with crisis plans to meet business continuance and disaster recovery planning requirements.
- Support crisis management activities during business disruptions and coordinate response and communications across multiple sites.
- Manage and track projects and action items relating to business continuity management.
- Work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
- Track and monitor remediation of issues resulting from business recovery testing.
- Ensure timely delivery of quality products, documentation, and coordination of schedules.
- Create and oversee programs such as Testing and Exercise, and Training and Awareness
- Report on all metrics
- Cultivate relationships and collaborate with cross-functional partners to shape, support, and execute project goals.
- Keep Senior Leadership informed of program milestones status, business risks and concerns through regular reporting.
- Manage and execute multiple different workflows on key long-term strategic initiatives and projects.
- Stay well-informed of current continuity standards, best practices, and technologies.
- Establish enterprise-wide standards and governance so implementation is consistent across locations.
- This enterprise position supports multiple locations and may require travel of up to 25%.
- To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employee’s, wearing PPE is a requirement for some roles at PECNA and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Education
- Basic/Required: Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate education or experience
- Preferred: None
- Minimum of 4 years of project management and business continuity management
- Experience in risk identification, mitigation strategies and resilience planning
- Excellent communication (oral and written) skills.
- Ability to clearly convey and communicate concepts in simple terms.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills
- Knowledge of NIST 800-34, and ISO 22301 frameworks
- Build strong relationships and collaborate well at all levels.
- Able to influence change without direct authority.
- Demonstrate ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments, and effectively manage deadlines.
- Resilient, self-motivated and able to work well under pressure.
