Overview

The Training Specialist supports the implementation of company-wide talent management initiatives designed to improve the ongoing talent development process and the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization. This role participates in complex, high profile changes to support the goals of Total Rewards; exemplifies a collaborative nature; and supports and/or partners with management and employees across the organization.

Responsibilities

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

Learning Management System Administration

  • Serve as Learning Management System Administrator.
  • Collaborate with HR and functional leads to perform training needs assessment, identify skills and knowledge gaps within the organization, develop training programs, create courses, assign training, generate reports and process rosters.
  • Integrate content providers such as DDI, McLean, Blue Ocean Brain, Go1, etc.
  • Develop and maintain Training Calendar
  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements.
  • Create and maintain relevant files, pages, and presence on various outlets such as Teams, SharePoint, Workday etc.
  • Develop communication materials including newsletters, emails, web content, & presentations by working with project teams and subject matter experts.

Training Requests

  • Facilitate all aspects of Internal and External training requests. This includes budget tracking, registration, vendor coordination, payment support and logistical support (virtual, onsite, and E learning).
  • Development, enhancement, and adherence to training request process.

New Employee Orientation

  • Own all aspects of New Employee Orientation from creating content, engaging with subject matter experts and all logistical support.

Support Compliance and Specialized Training

  • Develop training materials including educational aids and resources.
  • Participate in the curriculum walk through and Train-The-Trainer sessions to prepare for the delivery of learning programs as necessary.
  • Support compliance training (PEAK).
  • Develop Leadership training curriculum.
  • Lead Sprints which include project management, content development, facilitator preparations, scheduling, and communications.

Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, Human Resources or equivalent degree required or two (2) to four (4) years of related experience.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Windows-based databases as appropriate to the position and assignment.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Learning Management Systems such as Cornerstone or Docebo.
