Responsibilities
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
Service Delivery Management
- Oversee the delivery of IT application services, ensuring they meet the agreed-upon SLAs.
- Monitor and report on service performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure effective incident, problem, and change management processes are in place.
- Lead and manage a team of IT professionals (direct or 3rd party), including hiring, training, and performance evaluation for direct employees.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the team.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure effective service delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders regarding IT application service delivery.
- Understand business requirements and ensure that IT services align with these needs.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on service performance and improvement initiatives.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT application services.
- Utilize industry best practices and frameworks such as ITIL to drive improvements.
- Conduct regular service reviews and audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Manage projects related to IT applications, including new implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT solution architecture and 3 years of team management experience is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze complex business problems and design effective technology solutions, are required.
