Role Description
We are seeking a Medical Unit Clerk for a full-time, on-site position based in Cypress, TX. The Medical Unit Clerk will handle front-desk operations, schedule appointments, maintain patient records, and coordinate communication between patients and clinical staff. This role also involves managing phone calls, updating medical documentation, and ensuring an organized and well-functioning medical office environment.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Medical Terminology and a basic understanding of Medicine
- Strong Clerical Skills, including managing patient records and appointment scheduling
- Excellent Phone Etiquette and Communication skills to interact professionally with patients and staff
- Attention to detail, organizational ability, and the capacity to multitask effectively
- Proficiency in using computer systems and medical office software
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent education; additional certifications in medical administration are an advantage
