Duties
- Perform preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, electrical systems, and facility infrastructure to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues using schematics, Ohmmeters, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and other diagnostic tools
- Conduct welding repairs, residential painting, and other skilled trades as needed to restore equipment or facility components
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately diagnose problems
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks
- Oversee facilities maintenance tasks including plumbing, HVAC systems, lighting, and general repairs to ensure a safe environment
- Supervise or assist team members in performing maintenance activities while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Lead small projects or tasks related to facility improvements with an emphasis on quality and efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments
- Strong electrical experience including troubleshooting with schematics and using tools like Ohmmeters
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform welding, repairs, and basic carpentry or painting tasks
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and control systems used in automation processes
- Ability to read technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings accurately
- Supervising experience or leadership skills that support team coordination and safety compliance
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration
- Experience with CMMS software for maintenance tracking is preferred
