Job Summary
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Special Services or designee, provides consultative and direct behavioral services primarily to students receiving special education services, including those with autism spectrum disorders and emotional disabilities. The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) supports the development and implementation of evidence-based behavioral interventions, ensures compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and builds staff capacity to effectively implement behavior supports. Services in general education settings may be provided when aligned to support students with identified needs.
Requirements / Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited university in behavior analysis, psychology, education, special education, counseling, or a related field. Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Training and experience in managing aggressive, non-compliant, and crisis-level behaviors. Preferred Experience in school-based behavioral services within special education programs. Experience supervising behavior support staff across multiple sites. Demonstrated experience in staff development, behavioral assessment, and program implementation. Licenses and Certificates Required: Valid Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
