Shipping Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable Shipping Assistant to join our team. This position will assist with preparing hydraulic pumps for shipment, including painting and properly labeling units. The Shipping Assistant will also fill in for our main shipping employee when needed and assist with inventory and other tasks during slower periods. We are willing to train the right person who has a good work ethic and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

• Paint hydraulic pumps and motors according to company requirements.
• Properly label and prepare units for shipment.
• Assist with packaging and preparing customer orders.
• Fill in for the main shipping employee when they are out.
• Assist with inventory counts and organization during downtime.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Work with team members to complete daily tasks and meet shipping deadlines.

Requirements:

• Reliable and dependable.
• Good attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly.

Preferred:

• Previous shipping, warehouse, or manufacturing experience.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Day shift
• Overtime as needed
