Public Relations SAE, Technology

PAN is currently hiring a Senior Account Executive (SAE) to join our Technology team. SAEs at PAN own the media relations and digital media portion of client programs and provide public relations support to account teams. They are responsible for helping set and execute on media strategy, as well as mentoring and coaching more junior team members on media relations and content development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop a solid understanding of the client’s products, services, markets and competitors
• Consistently drive excellent, thoughtful coverage for our clients in top tier outlets across AI, Cyber security, HR Tech, and other technology related verticals.
• Establish and maintain working relationships with bloggers, business, trade, vertical and regional media
• Be a strong and passionate mentor, always taking the time to work with junior staff to identify opportunities, formulate story ideas, provide guidance on assigned content, and generally foster their growth and development
• Excel as a project manager - from core media relations programs to customer speaking and awards programs, to running point for clients at highly visible tech conferences
• Demonstrate strong presence in calls, meetings and new business pitches
• Organized and dependable - the "right hand" to our Account Supervisors
• Always looking for the next industry trend or proactive pitch opportunity
• A talented writer who loves to create compelling content that truly reflects clients' voice and messaging, and reaches the right audience

Essential Qualifications:

• B.S./B.A. – public relations, marketing, communications, or related field
• 3-5 years public relations experience (includes directly related internships), specifically with clients within the technology industry
• Ability to secure trade coverage for clients in the tech industry
• Ability to effectively work with others and communicate clearly
• Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
• Ability to organize and prioritize and complete tasks per set deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting clients in the B2B tech industry, preferably within retail, finance, HR, cybersecurity, devops and/or sustainability sectors
• Previous experience pitching and securing tier 1 media
• Proficiency with AI tools & a strong understanding of AI market trends
• Experience mentoring junior team members
