Job Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Cafe Weekend Supervisor to lead our team during weekend shifts, ensuring smooth store operations and exceptional customer service. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily activities, manage staff, handle customer interactions, and maintain inventory accuracy. Your leadership will inspire a positive shopping environment while ensuring that all operational procedures are followed efficiently. Responsibilities:
- Supervise weekend cafe operations, including opening and closing procedures, to ensure seamless daily functions.
- Lead and motivate team members, providing guidance on customer service, sales techniques, and operational tasks.
- Oversee employee orientation, training, and development to foster a knowledgeable and engaged team.
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to optimize product presentation and availability.
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using excellent communication skills and phone etiquette.
- Conduct interviewing and recruiting activities to fill staffing needs for weekend shifts.
- Oversee cash handling, POS transactions, payroll processing, and bookkeeping to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Implement pricing strategies, sales promotions, and marketing initiatives to boost sales performance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while maintaining store cleanliness and organization.
- Utilize management skills to supervise shift schedules, monitor retail math metrics, and control budgets effectively.
Experience:
- 3 years of supervisory, lead barista, assistant manager, or similar experience in coffee environments.
- Strong background in coffee sales, team management, inventory management, and customer service.
- Familiarity with Square POS systems, cash handling procedures, and merchandising techniques.
- Multilingual or bilingual in Spanish abilities are a plus for serving our customer bases.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
