Role Description The Electrical Instrument Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Broken Bow, OK. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems that support MDF production processes. Typical day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, calibrating instruments and sensors, and executing preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. The technician will diagnose and repair issues with process control equipment, document maintenance activities, and collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and safety. The role also involves following established procedures, adhering to safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in the plant.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in instrumentation and calibration, including experience with sensors, transmitters, controllers, and related field instruments.
- Candidates should possess skills in troubleshooting and process control, with the ability to diagnose system issues, interpret schematics, and optimize control loops.
- Candidates should possess preventive maintenance skills, including scheduling, performing routine checks, and documenting maintenance activities for electrical and instrument systems.
- Relevant technical education such as a diploma, certificate, or associate degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Industrial Maintenance is strongly preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial plant environments, familiarity with PLCs and automation systems, and knowledge of safety regulations (e.g., lockout/tagout) are beneficial.
- Candidates should demonstrate effective communication skills, the ability to work in a team, willingness to work shifts or overtime as needed, and strong attention to detail.
