Responsibilities
- Recruit prospective exchange students by engaging with local high schools, community organizations, and youth groups to share program benefits and opportunities
- Manage volunteer teams of local hosts, mentors, and coordinators to ensure smooth student placements and ongoing support throughout their exchange experience
- Provide guidance and support to students before departure, during their stay, and upon return, ensuring they have the resources needed for success
- Organize orientation sessions and cultural activities that promote intercultural understanding and integration
- Serve as a point of contact for students’ families, schools, and community partners to address questions or concerns promptly and effectively
- Track program participation, maintain detailed records of student placements, volunteer involvement, and community outreach efforts
- Promote the exchange program through social media, community events, and outreach initiatives to attract new participants
Requirements
- Experience working with students or in social work, education, or youth development roles preferred
- Strong skills in volunteer management and recruiting volunteers or community partners
- Passion for cultural exchange, diversity, and international education initiatives
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
- Ability to organize events and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment
- Prior experience in teaching or mentoring students is a plus but not required
