Area Representative

Role Description The Area Representative is a 1099 independent contractor position that is a mixture of remote and in person. We are hiring throughout the state of Wisconsin. In this position, the individual will recruit, screen, and support host families and serve as a primary local contact for international high school students placed within the community. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting home visits, monitoring student well-being and adjustment, and ensuring program policies and regulations are followed. The Area Representative will facilitate communication between students, host families, schools, and Pan Atlantic Foundation staff, and will help resolve issues quickly and constructively. The role also involves promoting the exchange program locally, building relationships with schools and community organizations, and preparing regular reports and documentation as required.

• Ability to build trusting relationships with students, families, schools, and community partners; strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
• Organizational and time-management skills, including the ability to handle multiple placements, documentation, and follow-up activities efficiently.
• Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, with sound judgment and the ability to respond calmly and appropriately to urgent situations.
• Familiarity with educational or youth programs, community outreach, or social services; experience in international exchange or education is highly beneficial.
• Comfort with basic digital tools (email, word processing, online databases or CRM systems) and accurate record-keeping.
• Knowledge of or interest in cultural exchange, global education, and working with diverse communities.
• High school diploma required; post-secondary education in education, social sciences, communications, or related fields is an asset.
• Ability to work on-site in your local community in Wisconsin, including occasional evening or weekend activities as program needs arise; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
