Nokomis Strategies is recruiting for The Pamunkey Indian Tribe's new Finance Director. The Finance Director will join Pamunkey's team at the Pamunkey Indian Reservation along the Pamunkey River in King William County, Virginia. This position is in-person and does offer relocation assistance.
The position reports to the Executive Director and is responsible for financial management functions which encompass administration, daily operations, supervision of tribal employees, policies, procedures and grant/program management and ensures financial operations are in compliance with Tribal laws, ordinances, standards, and all applicable federal and Virginia state laws.

Application Question(s):
- Do you have five (5) years' experience in an administrative capacity (required), or ten (10) preferred?
- Do you have direct experience in management of a department and/or staff; experience in hiring, counseling and evaluating employees? Five (5) years of management experience in strongly preferred.
- Do you have Grant Expertise: Knowledge of federal, state and private grants to appropriately manage the Tribe's financial requirement? Ability to manage oversight of the grants from beginning through audit and review?
- Do you have Financial Proficiency? Analytical skills; development and completion of all budgetary control, monitoring, reporting and auditing within the awarded grants and budget?
- Do you have Teamwork: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within and outside of the Tribe and with Chief and Council; exercise tact and diplomacy in working with other agencies?
- Do you have Ethics: Strong adherence to policies and procedures; maintain strict confidentiality?
- Do you have Judgement: Demonstrate skills to effectively negotiate, mediate and make decisions; proven record of being detail oriented?
