Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility, ensuring they are safe, comfortable, and healthy. This role requires a love for animals, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Provide daily care for dogs and other animals, including feeding, and exercising.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to staff.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets’ needs and well-being.
- Perform moderate lifting when handling larger breeds or moving supplies.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff.
Skills
- Experience with animal care.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
- Previous experience working in a kennel or similar environment is helpful.
- Experience in pet sitting can enhance understanding of individual animal behaviors.
