What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dog Bather position at Pamper Me Groom Studio?
We are seeking a Dog Bather to care for dogs of all breeds and sizes in a professional salon environment. Reporting to the salon owner, this role will provide bathing, drying, handling, and basic care while supporting services such as de-shedding treatments, brush-outs, skin treatments, mud masks, and milk baths. The schedule is Tuesday, Thursday, and every other Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with extra hour opportunities available if desired for the right fit. This position offers a growth path toward becoming a certified dog bather or a professional dog groomer.
Responsibilities
- Bathe dogs of all breeds and sizes.
- Dry coats using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Handle dogs safely and calmly throughout salon services.
- Support de-shedding treatments, basic brush-outs, skin treatments, mud masks, and milk baths.
- Provide attentive animal care and monitor dogs for safety and comfort.
- Maintain clean, sanitary bathing and salon areas.
- Clean salon at end of the day.
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in pet bathing and grooming.
- Knowledge of dog handling, pet bathing, coat brushing, and ear cleaning preferred, but will train
- Understanding of animal safety and sanitation procedures.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
