Join our creative landscape construction team as a Landscape Construction Laborer and be a vital part of transforming outdoor spaces into stunning, functional environments! In this energetic role, you will assist with a variety of construction tasks, working alongside skilled professionals to bring landscape projects to life. Your hands-on contributions will help create beautiful hardscapes, cast in place concrete, grade work, rough carpentry forming, trenching and drain tile, and outdoor features that clients will enjoy for years to come. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in construction and landscaping while working in a collaborative outdoor environment.
- Assist with the installation of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other masonry elements using concrete forming, masonry, and tile laying techniques
- Support the setup and operation of heavy equipment and power tools to prepare sites for construction activities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate project execution
- Perform site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, and soil conditioning to create optimal conditions for planting and hardscape installation
- Handle various hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during construction activities
- Assist with the installation of plantings, irrigation systems, lighting fixtures, and other landscape features
- Support skilled trades such as earth work, grading and paving as well as public utlities and infrastructure
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for construction tasks
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation relevant to landscape construction projects
- Familiarity with construction management principles and estimating processes is a plus
- Interest in performing concrete finishing, masonry work, stucco application, and concrete forming techniques
- Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems related to landscape features or site utilities
- Experience with fabrication techniques for custom landscape elements or fixtures
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures on construction sites to ensure a secure working environment
- Ability to work effectively in outdoor conditions across various weather scenarios
- Proactive attitude toward learning new skills in construction and landscaping
