Responsibilities
- Administer medications to patients under the supervision of licensed nursing staff
- Monitor patients' medication regimens to ensure accuracy and efficacy
- Provide basic nursing care, such as vital sign measurements and personal care
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide emotional support to patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and medication administration
- Participate in educational in-services and training programs to stay current with industry developments
Requirements
- Current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in healthcare or related field preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
