Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing surfaces to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures across all areas, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
- Clean floors using appropriate methods such as floor care equipment, carpet cleaning tools, and floor polishing techniques.
- Manage laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or uniforms as needed.
- Handle janitorial responsibilities such as restocking supplies, emptying trash bins, and maintaining cleaning equipment in good working order.
- Conduct outdoor work tasks like sweeping walkways or cleaning exterior entrances when required.
- Communicate effectively with clients or team members to address specific cleaning needs or concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments with knowledge of janitorial practices.
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents, surface cleaning techniques, and sanitation standards.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and moving furniture or equipment safely.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during shifts.
- Experience with floor care methods such as carpet cleaning and outdoor surface maintenance is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients or team members.
- Knowledge of housekeeping management practices and custodial experience is advantageous.
