Shipping and Receiving

Responsibilities/Duties:

· Follow specific work instructions and best practices to safely and accurately complete daily work assignments

· Support all operational processes and procedures to ensure value to the customer and compliance with all policies, customer requirements and federal/state/local regulations

· Unload and check items against freight bills, packing lists, or shipping notices and make notations of damages, shortages and other irregularities.

· Assists with physical inventories and counts

· Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area

· Package finish product for Shipment-Domestic and Internationally

· Complete ship logs and other reports daily

· Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

Minimum/basic skills & qualifications for this position:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Ability to operate forklift

· Ability to use basic measurement tools: calipers, micrometers

· Solid math skills; basic calculations to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, basic percent and fractions

· A commitment to team success through reliable attendance

· Mechanical aptitude

· Basic computer skills

· Previous experience with shipping via UPS and FEDX. Experience with Freight forwarders, various shipping lines, trucking companies and International    Parcels is a plus.

· Attention to detail and results-driven approach to work

· Ability to interact with co-workers in a professional manner.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a very high level of accuracy.

· Ability to learn quickly and work independently with minimum supervision

Required to work overtime as necessary.
