As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments. Your primary duties will include:
- Receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming shipments of goods and materials.
- Accurately recording all received items, including quantities, condition, and any discrepancies.
- Organizing and distributing received materials to the appropriate departments or storage areas.
- Preparing outgoing shipments, including packing, labeling, and ensuring correct documentation.
- Maintaining a clean and organized shipping and receiving area.
- Performing regular inventory checks and reporting any shortages or overages.
- Utilizing computer software and systems for tracking shipments and inventory.
- Assisting in maintaining shipping and receiving records and documentation.
- Safely operating material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks (if applicable).
- Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring a safe work environment.
