Occupational Therapist- Part Time

The Pediatric Occupational Therapy position is to take over a 30 hour OT position from mid October to January. Therapist may stay on for continued work as a part time therapist.

The Pediatric Occupational Therapist will evaluate and treat children with a variety of developmental, sensory, motor, and functional needs. The OT will develop individualized treatment plans, establish measurable goals, provide evidence-based interventions, and collaborate with families and other professionals to promote independence and participation in meaningful daily activities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations.
• Develop individualized plans of care and measurable treatment goals.
• Provide direct occupational therapy services in clinic, school, and/or community settings.
• Address areas including:
• Fine and gross motor development
• Sensory processing and regulation
• Activities of daily living and self-care
• Visual-motor and visual-perceptual skills
• Handwriting and school-related skills
• Executive functioning
• Play and social participation
• Functional participation and independence
• Provide family education and home-program recommendations.
• Collaborate with caregivers, teachers, SLPs, physicians, and other professionals.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment approaches as appropriate.
• Complete evaluations, daily notes, progress reports, re-evaluations, and plans of care accurately and within required timelines.
• Maintain appropriate communication with families and members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, HIPAA, Mississippi regulations, payer requirements, and professional standards.

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
