What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Administrator position at PALS, LLC?
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY:
The Medical Administrator is responsible for:
1. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm medical appointments.
2. Ensure medical appointments are scheduled in conjunction with client’s schedules.
3. Coordinate home health service nurse and physical therapists.
4. Follow up on new/pending referrals.
5. Referrals and acquisition of medical equipment.
6. Contact clients and staff for appointment reminders. Create internal weekly medical
appointment charts for internal use.
7. Contact pharmacy for prescription refills.
8. Maintain medication log when medication is delivered to the office.
9. After medical appointments, obtain physician progress notes. After hospitalization, obtain
discharge and medical records.
10. After medical appointments, obtain staff medical tracking forms in a timely manner.
11. Coordinate with medical offices to ensure they have necessary client documents.
12. Update company software with accurate information regarding medical tracking forms,
medications, and appointment details.
13. Order and maintain inventory count of incontinence supplies for clients.
14. Order and maintain inventory count of feeding supplies for clients.
15. Schedule paratransit services for medical appointments.
16. Resolve outstanding client medical bills with insurance companies.
17. Perform other functions as deemed appropriate by the Program Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Medical Administrator shall possess the following minimum qualifications:
1. Minimum 3 years’ experience with medical administration.
2. Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel.
3. Proficient Spanish is a must.
4. Proficient communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
