Line Cook/Prep Cook

Overview

Pals Brewing Company is looking for an energetic, dependable Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our kitchen crew. In this role, you’ll handle day-to-day prep, execute order tickets with speed and precision, and maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and kitchen sanitation in a fast-paced craft brewery environment.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Prep ingredients, chop produce, portion proteins, and batch recipes following established kitchen specs.
• Line Execution: Cook, plate, and assemble food orders quickly and accurately during lunch, dinner, and peak event hours.
• Station Management: Keep work stations clean, sanitized, and well-stocked throughout service.
• Safety & Sanitation: Follow proper food handling, temperature control, and safety protocols at all times.
• Equipment Care: Safely operate and maintain kitchen tools and equipment (fryers, flat-tops, ovens, slicers, and knives).
• Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with front-of-house and back-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow.

Skills

• Experience: Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred (brewery, pub, or casual dining background is a plus).
• Culinary Skills: Proficiency in basic knife skills, portion control, and recipe adherence.
• Stamina & Physicality: Ability to stand for long shifts, work in a warm environment, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and high-volume brewery events.
• Mindset: Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a positive team-first attitude.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
