Job Overview
Class A CDL required.
Primarily Dump Truck driving to deliver rock products and support construction projects. Also some flatbed, lowboy, driving. All local routes; home every night.
Additional tasks are diverse and may include basic vehicle maintenance, manual labor, equipment operation, grade checking, pipe laying, etc.
Experience in earthwork & utility construction preferred.
Equipment service & maintenance skills preferred.
This could be an entry level laborer position for the right candidate; but experience is preferred.
Year-round employment. Approximately 40-60 hours per week.
Duties
- Operate various types of vehicles including construction equipment, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle used for transportation.
- Assist in the inspection of equipment and vehicles before and after use to ensure safety compliance.
- Laborer to shovel, rake, haul supplies on various excavation jobs.
Experience
- Previous experience in construction is preferred.
- Experience operating dump trucks, tractor-trailers is required.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Strong physical stamina to handle the demands.
