Help Build the Future of Sustainable Fiber ManufacturingPalouse Fiber Packaging is seeking an experienced Fiber Processing Supervisor to lead one of the most technically important functions within our company.
This position is responsible for transforming raw fiber into consistent, production-ready stock that drives the quality and performance of every product we manufacture.
We're building something different.
Palouse Fiber develops and manufactures sustainable molded fiber packaging using recycled fiber, agricultural residues, textiles, and other emerging fiber sources. As we commission new manufacturing assets and expand commercial production, we're looking for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, optimizing manufacturing processes, and building systems from the ground up.
This isn't a role where you'll simply maintain an established process.
It's an opportunity to help define it.
What You'll DoAs the Fiber Processing Supervisor, you will lead all aspects of fiber preparation and stock preparation while supervising the team responsible for delivering consistent, specification-ready fiber to production.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading daily fiber processing operations
- Supervising Production Technicians assigned to fiber preparation
- Managing raw material receiving and fiber inventory
- Developing and optimizing pulp recipes for a variety of fiber sources
- Operating and optimizing pulping, screening, cleaning, refining, and stock preparation systems
- Monitoring process chemistry and wet-end additives to maintain product quality and process stability
- Performing and interpreting pulp quality testing, including consistency, freeness, moisture, and other process measurements
- Troubleshooting process variation and implementing corrective actions
- Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Working closely with Production, Manufacturing, Product Development, and Quality teams to support new product development and commercial production
- Building a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Has five or more years of experience in pulp and paper, molded fiber, recycled fiber, tissue, packaging, or another continuous fiber processing environment.
- Understands fiber processing from raw material through production-ready stock.
- Has experience developing, adjusting, and optimizing pulp recipes.
- Has working knowledge of wet-end chemistry, additives, and safe chemical handling practices.
- Is comfortable performing and interpreting fiber and pulp quality testing.
- Enjoys troubleshooting manufacturing processes and improving system performance.
- Has successfully led front-line manufacturing teams.
- Is mechanically inclined and enjoys working around industrial process equipment.
- Wants to help build a manufacturing company that is redefining sustainable fiber processing.

Position: Full-Time
Compensation: $85,000–$95,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications, plus benefits. Performance-based growth opportunities are available as the company continues to expand.
