Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Linen Sorter to join our team. The Linen Sorter will play a crucial role in the processing of garments and linens, ensuring that all items are properly categorized for cleaning and laundering. This position is essential in maintaining the high standards of quality and service that our customers expect from our hotel and dry cleaning operations.
SCHEDULE IS FROM 7:00AM - 3:30PM, WORK ON WEEKENDS
Responsibilities
- Operate press equipment.
- Process laundry in plant.
- Maintain production floor distribution.
- Separate soil pick-up tickets.
- Check for needed repairs on items.
- Lift garments and/or linen onto line storage system
- Trolley garments and/or linen for truck pick-up.
- Load trollies' into trailers.
- Insure colleagues practice safety procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of all items.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while handling cleaning materials.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a laundry facility, hotel, or dry cleaning environment is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to work in a fast place environment.
- Must have the ability to stand for long term periods of time.
- Required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift items as necessary.

The employee frequently is required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
