Job Description:
The Patient Service Representative is the face of Palomar Health Medical Group. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients, answering phones, documenting patient information, and ensuring smooth patient flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients with a friendly disposition and tone.
- Maintain high-level customer service standards with patients, family members, staff, and providers.
- Answer heavy phone volume, resolving call queries promptly.
- Ensure accurate patient information and verify insurance details.
- Collect co-payments, deductibles, and co-insurance from patients.
- Process medical records, prepare/file patient forms, and balance daily monies.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum one year of experience in customer service, preferably in a medical setting.
- Working knowledge of contracted insurances, patient benefits, and third-party requirements preferred.
