Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site position for a Tasting Room and Winery Assistant, based in St. Helena, CA. Responsibilities include co-hosting wine tastings, providing an educational and engaging guest experience, assisting with wine sales, assisting in wine shipping, and some light cellar work. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone keen on understanding the connections between the vineyard, cellar and tasting room. Qualifications
- Experience with Wine Tasting and Wine Education, including a passion for wine and a willingness to share knowledge in an engaging manner
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills, with an emphasis on creating a welcoming and professional guest experience
- Must be flexible with time living close proximity to St. Helena, CA is a preference.
- Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, be self sufficient in tasks, and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Background in the wine industry preferred
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to representing the Paloma Vineyard brand
- Previous experience in a tasting room or winery setting preferred
- Knowledge of Spanish is a plus
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be comfortable standing for extended periods
