What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Ready Mix Driver position at Paloma Ready Mix & Materials?
Our ready-mix concrete mixer drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our trucks. Drivers are responsible for the delivery of time sensitive concrete products from our plant locations to various customer job sites. Drivers must ensure slump accuracy, equipment readiness for efficient unloading and provide excellent customer service.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate company ready-mix trucks in compliance with all DOT, ADOT Regulations and Company Policies
Assess job site safety to avoid hazards and ensure safe unloading position
Operate concrete chutes/controls and coordinate with site crews to ensure concrete is placed exactly where needed
Communicate with dispatch to follow pre-determined GPS directions to take the most efficient route to minimize the concrete “time in drum” to preserve product quality
Verify the concrete slump before leaving the plant and upon arrival at the job site
Maintain interior/exterior of mixer in a clean and safe condition
Preform a Daily Pre & Post Trip Inspection
Conduct yourself as a professional and courteous representative of the Company and provide superior customer service
Complete all required delivery paperwork
Wear required Personal Protective Equipment at all times

WHAT WE REQUIRE
Minimum (1) year Class A or B driving experience
Previous ready-mix concrete driving experience preferred
Clean driving record
Positive and professional attitude
Ability to use good judgment and commitment to safety & equipment care
