About the Role:
The Multimodality Tech PRN role is designed to provide specialized technical support and expertise across multiple imaging and diagnostic modalities within healthcare settings. This position focuses on ensuring the optimal operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced multimodality equipment to support clinical teams and improve patient outcomes. The role requires collaboration with radiologists, technologists, and biomedical engineers to facilitate seamless integration and functionality of diverse imaging technologies. The incumbent will play a critical role in training staff on new systems and updates, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Ultimately, this position aims to enhance diagnostic accuracy and efficiency by leveraging technical proficiency and problem-solving skills in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in Radiologic Technology or graduate of Radiologic Technology Program
- Certification or licensure as a Radiologic Technologist or equivalent credential relevant to multimodality imaging.
- Demonstrated experience working with multiple imaging modalities
- Strong understanding of imaging equipment operation, maintenance, and safety protocols.
- Strong communication skills for effective training and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently and respond promptly to technical issues in a clinical environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with advanced imaging software and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) integration.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as FDA, OSHA, and Joint Commission standards.
- Previous experience in a PRN (pro re nata) or flexible scheduling role within a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and advanced technical maintenance and troubleshooting on multimodality imaging equipment.
- Collaborate with clinical and technical staff to optimize imaging protocols and workflows for improved diagnostic quality and patient safety.
- Provide on-demand technical support and training to healthcare professionals on the use and capabilities of multimodality imaging technologies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies related to equipment safety, quality assurance, and data management.
- Document service activities, technical issues, and resolutions accurately to maintain comprehensive equipment records and support continuous improvement.
Skills:
The required skills enable the candidate to efficiently maintain and troubleshoot complex multimodality imaging systems, ensuring minimal downtime and high-quality diagnostic output. This is a PRN position and requires flexibility in staffing schedule. May work days, nights, weekends, holidays.
This position is an non-exempt position which is eligible, if applicable, for overtime pay.
