Job Summary
Overview: The Special Education Program Specialist plays a critical role in empowering Special Education teachers and site administrators to ensure that all PAUSD Schools are providing exceptional special education services to students and families. The Program Specialist provides technical expertise, coaching, and modeling to develop highly effective classroom teachers, confident and compliant case-managers, and powerful influences in the lives of some of PAUSD’s’ most at-risk students. The ideal candidate is an experienced educator who has advanced training in special education, with specialized knowledge of the programmatic needs of learning differences among students with identified disabilities, takes initiative, possesses excellent communication skills, thrives in a collaborative environment, and has a passion for facilitating personal and professional development experiences. This position may require travel to multiple PAUSD schools.
